Philanie Jooste is The Word Horse, a qualified publisher with an honours degree in Publishing from the University of Pretoria and more than 15 years’ experience in the media, materials development and publishing industry. I have extensive publishing knowledge from editing and producing a range of publications, including research reports, books (fiction and non-fiction), educational materials, newspapers and corporate communications.

I am passionate about words and the meaning they convey. My interests include education, urban and rural land issues, social responsibility, heritage, development and the media. Over the years I have worked in various fields, including education, business process outsourcing, public works, tourism, urban and rural land development, health, governance, transport, civic service (volunteering), broadcasting, media and youth.
